At the weekend I went to see the fabulous Butterfly World Project. It's just off the M25, Junction 21a, and it's a great experience to see the same butterflies I saw in Venezuela only 7 miles from Hatfield and without the mosquitos and altitude sickness.
Next year the big dome will be completed and it will be the largest space dedicate to butterflies in the world. I took lots of pics (coming soon) but this one really stood out because of its size. How big? Well it's the biggest moth species in the world at... 10" to 12" inches.
Here it is next to a "normal" sized butterfly

It's the Atlas moth (Attacus atlas), found in the tropical and subtropical forests of South East Asia. More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attacus_atlas
